Uniform

Tempe High School prides itself on the appearance of its students and when they wear a school uniform, they feel included in both our school community and our local community. The School has high expectations of our students in relation to their outward appearance and have explicit requirements for our uniform. A uniform not only fosters a sense of belonging and pride in our school community but it also helps create a conducive learning environment for all.

School uniform policies and procedures

Students who are unable to wear full school uniform, on any given day, must see the front office for a uniform slip or a Deputy Principal to request assistance with obtaining uniform.

Footwear

Science and TAS have specialist classroom spaces where appropriate footwear is essential personal protective equipment (PPE). This is to protect from slips, trips, and falls, but most importantly, from falling sharp tools and implements or boiling water.

Please read this factsheet from the Department of Education if you would like to know more.

The below images show a range of appropriate shoes that meet both the school uniform policy and PPE requirements.
