Learn how to enrol at our school. Our school is a partially selective high school. We have a selective, enrichment and non-selective stream. Our selective stream is for high potential and gifted students in Years 7 to 12. For Year 7 entry, parents apply when their child is at the end of Year 5 or the beginning of Year 6.

How to enrol in our non-selective stream

Every child has the right to access quality public education in their local community. If you live in our local intake area, start your journey to join our vibrant school community today. Follow these key steps:

1. Check your eligibility:  use School Finder to confirm if your address is within our local intake area.
2. Read:  other enrolment details for our school.
3. Apply online:  complete our online enrolment application.

How to enrol in our enrichment stream

Tempe High School values innovation, opportunity, and excellence for all students. As such, we offer an Enrichment stream for students to parallel the selective stream. We have broadened the curriculum to support local high potential and gifted students. Follow these key steps:

1. Read the Tempe High School Enrolment Policy.

2. Read and consider the enrichment application criteria.

   

3. Complete the enrolment application.

4. Email the form to the school email, addressed to Mr Dawson.

How to apply for entry into our selective stream

Unlike NSW public schools, there are no intake areas for selective classes. Enrolment is on application only. You can apply to up to 3 schools.

Apply online

Steps:

1. Visit Selective high school and opportunity class placement
2. Register to start your application.
3. Verify your email address
4. Log in
5. Complete all sections of the application form
6. Submit the application form
7. Student sits the placement test
8. Family is advised of the outcome.

You must submit a separate application form for each school and list the schools in the same order of preference.

Late applications

The application period cannot be extended. Make sure you submit your application before the closing date. For more information, check key dates.
