The subject selection process in Year 8 and Year 10 is an important step in your child’s learning pathway. Tempe High School proudly offers a broad curriculum with offered subjects/electives based on student choice. We encourage parents and students to gain a clear understanding of the subjects/electives available to them. Then, make choices based on their genuine interest, personal strengths, and personal learning styles that prepare them for future study and work and that align with career interests or keep career options open.
HSC Extension Course Selection
Extension courses offer a unique opportunity for students to challenge themselves academically, pursue areas of passion in greater depth, and extend their expertise beyond the standard HSC curriculum. At Tempe High School, many students have taken on these subjects and experienced significant success, both in their results and in the personal growth that comes from tackling advanced learning.
