Description: TheDuke of Edinburgh's Award is operating at Tempe High School. \;Students aged 14 years and above may join the program. The scheme is a youth self-development program for all young people. It is non-competitive and encourages young people to set and achieve goals at a level appropriate to their needs. There are four sections that must be completed to qualify for anaward: Community Service, Skills, Recreation and Expedition. These provide an opportunity for students to acquire and develop skills, initiativeand self-esteem which will help them become more confident members of thecommunity.The DATEs of the overnight expedition are:? 26th-27th June PRACTICE? 7th-8th August. QUALIFYINGBoth expeditions are with the Outdoor Education Group. The Outdoor Education Group is highly reputable and ensures the highest safety standards and purposeful time during the expedition. They provide all outdoor gear, including tents, backpacks, sleeping mats,waterproof jackets/pants, tarps, cooking gear/trangia sets.Please see attached information sheet for more details on the program. \;
Participants: Will add students to list after confirmation of event , parents will first pay the initial registration fee to secure their place, then payfor the hike cost.
Venue: Great North Walk, Royal National Park, Sydney.
